Lions Mane are Australian made organic gourmet mushroom kits, cloned from a wild fruit body found in the Otway National Park in Victoria Australia and are world-renowned for the medicinal and potential health benefits.
Lions Mane in particular for their neurological or nootropic functionality contained in spawn & cultures that will assist in mental clarity by promoting mental focus, memory and may also provide cerebral and nervous system support. Many studies have identified a NGF (Nerve Growth Factor) in Lions Mane which is also claimed to support cognitive function.
It is important to keep your mushroom kits in an environment they like and when grown in high CO2 conditions Lions Mane grows very coral-like fruiting bodies, in low CO2 it forms nice round fruits.

Quite simply, Mushrooms need a combination of 3 things to grow:
1) Fresh Air – don’t put them in a closed space as they need to breathe
2) Humidity 80-95%
3) Optimal temperatures as below;
Pink oyster:
Great for Spring and Summer with a temperature range of between 20 to 30 Degrees.
Yellow Oyster, Tan Oyster, Reishi:
Great all-rounders with a temperature range of between 16 to 24 Degrees.
Lions Mane, Grey Oyster, Shiitake:
Great for Autumn with a temperature range of between 10 to 20 Degrees.
Enoki, Turkey Tail:
Great for Winter with a temperature range of between 5 to 14 Degrees.
If you want to get the most from your Mushroom kits keep them within the conditions that they like, and they will reward you with a big flush of mushrooms!
What you will need:
To begin with mushroom kits, you may need a propagation box, tent or large bucket or a 30-50L plastic container to create an ideal environment and a waterproof area for the mushroom kit to sit on.
You can grow your own mushrooms directly out of the ready to use box or provided a bed of vermiculite, waste/recycled products like coffee grounds, straw or even cardboard.
If you are not quite ready to begin your Lions Mane mushroom kit, place the kit in a cold fridge (1-5 degrees). Mushrooms can be kept in fridge for up to 8 weeks.
